Can you really scientifically measure prayer? I don't think so. This kind of takes the "will of God" out of the equation. I have seen the power of prayer work in my life in a mighty way. But God is not Santa who just gives us what we want--even if it means healing a loved one. The problem with research on prayer is do we know the spiritual condition of those who were praying? Do we know if the people who were being prayed for even believed that God would help? God answers prayer--it just may not be the way we want him to answer it! What do you think?
