The origin of K-dawg
Some of you have wondered where the name K-dawg came from. When we moved to Mobile all of the ministers were called "Brother." I am only a brother to Tim and Jenn, my siblings. In Seminary you always knew when someone didn't know your name because they would say, "hey brother." I didn't like being called "Brother." I just want to be Kevin.
Brad Johnson was my intern at FBTC. He is a cool guy from Elvis' hometown of Tupelo, MS. He is a big Bama football fan and a Godly young man. He is a talented guitarist and song-writer. He didn't want to call me "Brother" so he started calling me "K-dawg." The name stuck.
Today Brad works on staff @ Central Baptist Church in Decatur, AL. Their pastor Rob Jackson is a great friend and my former roomate. He married Tonya who was my wife Cassandra's best friend and roomate. Cool! What a small world.
Today, Brad sent his new CD to me. It is great! I recommend it highly! Thanks for the CD Brad, it is wonderful.
