The power of the Holy Spirit amazes me....

After I wrote my post about Spiritual Gifts I came to the church office to begin my day. I wasn't here 2 min. and there was a 23 year old African American gentleman needing some help. He needed to be at the courthouse in "Uptown" Charlotte but had no way of getting there. I was planning to go to the hospitals but not until later in the day. But I recognized this as a "Holy Spirit" moment and told him I would take him. Normally, I work my way into sharing the gospel, but he said his grandmother told him to go to the church for help so I felt God was moving in his life. I wasn't a mile down the road and I was sharing the Roman Road. (I know that's not very post-modern) He was crying by the time I drove on I-85. As I'm driving, this young man asked Jesus to become the "leader" of his life!!!! Wow! God works in awesome ways. I had just prayed as I do everyday for God to send a "person of peace" my way and he did. Pray for James. He needs a fresh touch from God!

Awesome!!! Sometimes you wonder if you are really making a difference and then at just the moment you need it the most, God does something great like this.

Thanks for blessing us with that story.
