Where is the apology?
I am glad that the IMB Board of Trustees voted not to remove Wade Burleson from the Board. According to news reports it was 100%. My question is WHERE IS THE APOLOGY? Wade was made out to be a trouble maker. He was accused of gossip and slander. His name has been drug through the mud and his family has endured a lot over the last few months. I believe those who made these accusations owe Wade and his family and apology!

The issue truly goes beyond an apology. The best case scenario is a difference of opinion about the meaning of 'gossip' and 'slander' and Wade's intent; in which case resolution and reconcialiation may need occur. (If they have reconciled, I don't really care that there be a public pronouncement, though that would be nice.)
The worst case scenario is that someone knowingly made a false accusation; a rubuke is in order.
Apologies are what I would expect from a secular organization. I expect a lot more from denominational leaders.
We bang our head against a wall when people in our church do these kind of things. Gee I wonder who they learned it from???
