Church of Scientology to sponsor a NASCAR Team

The Church of Scientology, the religion for which actor Tom Cruise crusades, will attempt to spread its "Ignite Your Potential" message into auto racing through sponsorship of a race car in one of NASCAR's lowest levels. Read the story here.

Maybe the SBC can sponsor a car too! How about instead of the Busch Grand National, we have all of the Christians form a team against the cults. Think of the possibilites. NASCAR usually races on Sunday--we might find our missing church members. :)

Good post and a great idea. I think we should have the three presidential contenders race 30 laps to decide their contest. That is. . .if the cage match is no longer an option.

CB -

Ford of course. What a question!

Kevin -

Or we could just hire an up and coming rookie driver to add to Morgan Shepherd's team and help keep his car in the races a little longer.

Dorcas,

Good point.

CB,

I think it should be a Toyota--that will help IMB!

i wanted to post this yesterday, but i had some trouble doing that...

1. the SBC sponsors a chevy, because the GM plant (saturn for now) is just south of nashville

2. the IMB sponsors a toyota to show a sign of solidarity with their missionaries in japan

3. NAMB sponsors a dodge (because we need to be open and willing to support those who aren't chevy)

4. all the FBCs will get together to sponsor a ford because it's the oldest in the game
