No wonder the un-churched don't take us seriously...

Fred Phelps is at it again! Westboro Baptist Church in Topeka, Kansas is planning to picket the funeral of Coretta Scott King. They have issued the following press release here. I don't care if you don't like another person's politics or their religion. A person is entitled to be wrong. But protesting at a vulnerable time in a families life is absolutely despicable! I personally don't care for President Clinton or Hillary. But if they were to die today, I would be sad. How dare so-called "Christians" to wish protest people's funerals! I am amazed at hypocrisy of people. What kind of testimony is this to those who don't know Christ? God help us all!

I will go one step further than that, Kevin... I think that people who twist God in such a way could not possibly know the God of the Bible. I am not the judge of their souls, but I see no fruit of the Spirit, so what else can be said? It may be that Corretta Scott King is judged guilty, but I think it is just as likely that they will be judged just as guilty.

Maybe it's time we started saying something about these people. How else will we ever get the unchurched to take us seriously if we just "wink, wink, nudge, nudge" and nod to these people as if they were just "crazy uncle Harold," who was a little off, but still family?

Amen Art!

I need to be called on my hypocrisy too! I just don't want to be a stumbling block to anyone coming to Christ!
