Wednesday, the leaership (ha!) of Element2 watched The School of Rock. I must admit, I haven't laughed that hard in years. Jack Black mentioned that the lead guitarist needed to learn how to do the ancient Power Stance. Unfortunately, lots of leaders use the wrong POWER STANCE. They rule over people and intimidate them. We need to get back to the basics. Jack Black had the wrong motives at first in the movie to become a famous rock star. By the end, he really cared for the kids and developed a relationship with the students. Forget the power stance. We need to care about people and teach them the way Black does in the movie. He gets to know the kids and what makes them tick. Just think what would happen if we took the same interest in people @ church. What could we accomplish?
