Cars washed in Holy water...........
Members of a Manchester, England church are cleaning cars with Holy water. In an attempt to be environmentally friendly and serve the community, church attendees will use the water from the morning's Baptismal service to wash local vehicles. Read the story here and here.
Levenshulme Baptist Church does baptise by immersion. It is not known if a car washed by the water is eligible to serve with IMB.

That is funny.
Kev, what are you doing up so late? Dontcha gotta preach tomorrow?
Going to bed now. When I saw this story I couldn't resist.
In order for the car to be counted as having a "holy washing," does it have to be washed by a proper administrator?
Wouldn't the car have to be entirely immersed to qualify? What's that gonna do to your electrical system?
herbie the lovebug was immersed. can he still serve overseas?
The baptism may be sanctioned, but I want to know about the car's prayer language.
I have a ruling: This is Church of England Holy Water and therefore qualifies as a legitimate baptism in the Anglican church - but does not qualify for the SBC and the IMB.
Herbie qualifies.
Art,
If we disent on your ruling are we allowed to discuss why or would that be considered slander and gossip?
Come on, Art, read the article; it's a Baptist church (or at the very least, baptistic). Isn't that good enough for you? Man, Landmarkism runs deep in Kentucky...
;-)
Here it is Landmark Motors
Rev Spence,
Thanks for dropping by. I think it is great what you are doing. There is an inside joke you probably didn't understand.
Many of us on this blog are Southern Baptist and our International Mission Board Board of Trustees are making it difficult for some people to become missionaries because they are questioning their baptism. Most of us don't like the Landmark Theology that a person has to be baptised in a SBC church only. Plus they are not allowing people who have private prayer languages to serve either.
This was not by any means making fun of what your church is doing. God bless what you are doing. I wish we could get this kind of publicity!
