Seriously, is Rick Warren the most prominent Baptist pastor? I had no idea. I'd heard a lot about him, but I didn't even know if he was Baptist or just non-denominational. Guess I better pull out some biographies.
But to the other point ... NAMB is bringing in wine now. Hmmm ... that's progress for Baptists for sure.
OK, ok, seriously the sidebar just read like a soundbite. Personally I'd be more interested in Kevin Bussey's opinion on the subject than Rick Warren's. After all, Kevin read's my blog. :)
Rick even graduated from SWBTS! I don't how prominent I am. You never know, Rick may be reading your blog. Are you getting any hits from Orange County, CA?
He actually wrote me a hand written message a few years back. I respect him a lot.

I didn't answer the last part of your post. What do I think of Dr. Reccord? I have said it before that I owe a lot to him. He is a Godly man who took some interest in me. Our church start would not have gotten off the ground w/o him.
for what its worth, i hear rumors he's going to start writing a column in relevant magazine. noooo!!!
